Full biodegradable pads - substituting taboos
In Bangladesh we are improving the menstrual hygiene of women and girls, which allows them to increase their social and economic participation, health and wellbeing. Biodegradable flower pots
These biodegradable flower pots have been designed on added value in stead of on drop-ins, in the supply chain of the BBCT-consortium. This 100% bio-based flower pot is made by injection moulding and has great benefits: better plant growth, needs significantly less fertilizer and soil improver as the pot acts as one and it has no plastic waste. On top of that, less manpower and handling costs are needed during the planting process.

Biodegradable TerraTube by Heijmans
The TerraTube is an initiative by Wavin, Heijmans and Rodenburg. It is a protecting tube for cables and pipes, used during construction works. It is made from potato starch and completely biodegradable.

Biodegradable mussle structure
Bureau Waardenburg, Rodenburg Biopolymers and GEA 2H Water Technologies have developed a biodegradable structure specifically for use in the improvement of habitats. In contrast to many other bio-plastics, it undergoes complete breakdown without the need for composting agents. Its original application was as a structure for the recovery of musselbeds and oyster beds. In addition, several other applications in the area of water purification, sewerage treatment, aquaculture, soil aeration, reclamation and the protection of coasts and sandbanks have become apparent.
